2019 sees a new phase for Rog and I. Our ‘boat partners’ have decided to head in a different direction and so Pankina is sold.

Rog and I have found Marley 2 which is berthed in Rome. Christopher- my cousin, a marine engineer has helped us and now from the Blue Dolphin Sbipyard on the Tiber we begin.

The plan is to sail north to Elba, then cross over to Corsica. Sail south on the west coast and through the channel of Corsica and Sardegna. Onto the Maddalenas – a group of islands on the north east side of Sardegna. Then back to Rome.

We have never sailed this area before and are very much looking forward to it plus the adventure with a new boat.

Marley 2 is a Jeanneau 509. And while only 7 feet longer than Pankina she feels double the size, especially internally. Very comfy indeed.
