Porto Atheni on Meganisi

We sailed up from Ithaca – Porto Vathi – to Meganisi. The weather is closing in with storms forecast. This is the calm before the storm. The bonus is good wind for sailing.
We tied ourselves securely in at Porto Atheni as a big front was scheduled to arrive at midnight last night.
We walked up the hill to the village of Katomeri and had dinner at a taverna.
Generous people always ready to serve food and drink.
This morning Sunday – the clouds are low and it is drizzling. Our electric toilet broke the other day but in Nidri we have bought the part and will fix this afternoon. Quite nice having a below decks day.
Lisa, Graham and Lauren are traveling very well. Lauren is driving the dinghy with supervision and it is nice to have extra hands on deck for sailing and mooring.

Broken sterlines and boat pile ups, storms, drizzle and broken toilets – sounds like Graham’s worst nightmare….
Great sailing in good breeze – hilltop taverna – driving the dinghy – sounds like Lisa and Lauren having a blast…!!
I am sure you are all having a wonderful holiday – enjoy!
Cheers to all, Alastair & Jude x
