Venice

The last two days have been gorgeous. Wonderful weather, especially yesterday. We went to the island of Mazzorbo and had lunch at Venissa.

It’s got a bit of a lean on it

The Campanile at Venissa

Venissa is a vineyard, a restaurant, an osteria. They grow their own food, wine, oil and source local fish.

Such a laid back day where we were totally looked after.

Sunday – today – we have visited Part Two of the Biennale at the Arsenale.

Then we have walked down to the Cannareggio – lots of activity for Rosh Hashanah. We stayed in this district 5 years ago and today it was full, vibrant.
