We sailed up from Kortula to the island of Vis. We came here in 2005 when we chartered a yacht from Primosten near Split.
I always remembered it being outstanding . It has a great big harbour, two quays to moor to or plenty of safe anchor in the bay.
It’s a Venetian town built around 1500 but also was known as Syracusa in the 4th century BC. Then the Romans built a significant town with theatres and Terme in the 1st century BC.
Anyway, it would seem that all the world has come to Vis and it can handle it.
It’s still gorgeous and very easy to spend lots of time here.
