We have been re visiting some of the villages and bays on these islands.
Following on from the storm leaving Venice, the unsettled weather hung around for about 5 days.
Each morning generally heavy rain followed by a clear afternoon and evening.
Despite it, the days are warm, the water is 27 degrees and swimming is great.
These islands are very appealing. The scent of oregano and pine wafts over the water. Everyone goes about their daily business and tourism plays a huge part of that – it has been a good summer.

This is Kioni, tucked into the east coast of Ithaca.
We sailed up to Fiscardo. We have been here a couple of times before and it is always nice. Again we moored on the cliff edge so we can swim off the boat. The water is so clear. Richard and Brenda are amazed by the towns – this one is one of the few ‘antica’ towns – it survived the 1953 earthquakes.
Next stop Little Vathi on Meganisi.
And now we need to drop Richard and Brenda back in Lefkas – they are bussing up to Athens and flying to Istanbul to continue their holiday. They have had a lovely relaxing time and they were great crew.
Now Tom and Bec are hopping on.
Day 1 with them and we have sailed up to Paxos – half way to Corfu. We are anchored in a northern bay called Lakka. It was quiet this morning but tonight it’s packed.
The weather is perfect, we are going to stay here a couple of days and enjoy the clear water, read our books and relax.

Lovely pictures, artistically shot. Careful the young ones don’t fall in. M
