This morning in Milan it was pouring down with no sign of stopping.
We have hired a car – a VW wagon – and today drove from Milan to Vernazza via Genoa.
All was going well until we ended up on a goat track with a road closed sign. So close – only 1.9 kms to go – but back up the hill we went and finally found a road into Vetnazza.
The apartment we have rented is right on the main square with the harbour directly in front.
It is busy – holiday makers of all types – and the rain has gone.
Tomorrow we are going to walk across the hillside and see how many towns we can do. If Rog has his way we would train all the way – he has a memory of a walk that would never end 18 years ago!
