Meganisi – Spartakhouri

We come over to the island of Meganisi yesterday afternoon.
The island has a convoluted coastline , a bit like an octopus, that offers lots of bays to anchor.
Several of the villages are perched up on the hilltops with tavernas down on the beach.
We ran out of gas a few days ago and have been unable to get a refill so cold food only on the boat and all else at the tavernas.
Directly opposite the bay of Port Spiglia lies the island of Scorpios. Onassis’ private island. You are welcome to anchor during the day – no overnight stays – and a patrol to see you off at dusk. It looks very James Bond.
