On we go. We are headed to the Grand Bazaar followed by the Spice Markets.
It’s all in the same area – Sultanahmet – and we take the tram across the river.
This area, the Golden Horn, is packed with antiquities. Like so many European cities the charm lies in the daily use of all these things.
As we passed the ferries we jumped on literally as one was leaving and took a ride down the Bosphorus. So many trees and castles!
The ottoman buildings are noticeable. They are usually 3 or 4 stories, weatherboard, and quite decorative.
