Ballooning in Cappodocia

Early morning this morning. The bus picked us up at 4.40am.
Quiet in the town which made the lights of the buses so much more obvious.
Ballooning is big business.
Up to 80 balloons go out in the morning with each of them having 6 crew – ground staff – and about 14 passengers.
It was magical.
We floated over an enchanting landscape – hovered just above the trees in the valleys and saw foxes and rabbits. Birds busy in their morning.
Lots of fun and a must do.

Hello Jane! I have just caught up with your whole trip in one sitting having finally got onto your blog (the internet in the Maldives is hand operated I think!!). What an amazing time you’re having and well done to you and Roger for creating this visual delight for those of us wishing we were there with you. See you on the mat back in Melbourne where you will be relieved of your memories of the heat getting a bit too much!!
    With love
    Ali x
