We got out the “incredible folding bike”today that Lee and Pete got when in marmaris. I rather hastily unfolded it and sort of locked it together …. It looked fine … But as Jane gave it the first real test it all came unstick . It’s got a type of elastic memory and it appears this is activated whilst crossing gaps on the floating pontoons . Jane returned … Safely ..to announce this , as well as other things I had previously been unaware of about my skills. Anyway alas all is well etc and the bike provides much assistance going back and forth to the front office which is behind the front front office but in front of the back office , with various bits of paper,requests and passports.
I found it most usefull moving the 20 kg of washing (smalls, fresh sheets and delicates mostly) looking a bit like a “cirque du soleil” character untill i got up enough speed which i certainly did once I hit the little ramp bits joining the pontoons to land …. I survived too as the folding clips were mow fully engaged by Jane after her test run…. Which apparently was the problem. Weve also found that being red it goes a lot faster than other folding bikes , of course in unfolded mode . It’s all in a normal day here on Pankina. Clearly we have lost interest in the real world which was the whole point. Thank you Beneteau , Salcano, Mehmet in ciflik and mostly Lee and Pete .
Waiting for the children to arrive now… Cant wait to play the “incredible folding bike” trick on them too
